Ukraine received 100,000 Covid-19 IgM/IgG rapid test kits and 200,000 protective masks from the UAE government under the medical care arrangements. This was announced during a meeting between the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Yulia Sokolovska and the wife of the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, Ms. Al-Kaabi, the President’s Office reports.
Sokolovska thanked the UAE for its support in overcoming the Covid-19 pandemic in Ukraine. She noted that the received tests and personal protective equipment would be transferred to the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, which will distribute them across the regions.
As we reported earlier, according to Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov, the country’s leadership is deciding on the exact date for imposing strict quarantine restrictions.
“The only question in time is whether it would be December or from January 2. A discussion with experts on this issue is underway. Yesterday, Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting to decide how it would be. But the lockdown will be imposed, it’s 100%,” he said.
