The United States has assured that China will face “consequences” if it helps Russia in the war against Ukraine. This was announced by White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki, according to The Guardian .

According to Psaki, this includes economic sanctions that the United States will coordinate with its allies and partners.
“If they provide military or other assistance, which, of course, will go against sanctions, or support military efforts, it will have significant consequences,” Psaki said.
She declined to say whether China has provided any military assistance to Russia since the start of the war against Ukraine.
“We have made it very clear to Beijing that we will not stand aside. We will not allow any country to compensate Russia for its losses,” State Department spokesman Ned Price told reporters.
The Biden administration said it saw no signs of de-escalation by Russia as part of its attack on Ukraine.
