Ukraine Gate – Kyiv – March 16, 2022- Ukrainian Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Roman Leshchenko made a statement on Facebook that the spring field work in Ukraine is expected to begin at the end of March 2022, in some regions – in early April 2022.
“The start of field work in the spring is widely scheduled for late March 2022, in some areas – early April 2022. Of course, the actual date will depend on warm temperatures and precipitation, but that is the case at the moment,” Leshchenko wrote.
According to his words, the temperature at night is still below zero, dropping to 12-10 degrees (C) below zero in the northern and eastern regions. But, according to Leshchenko, it is a good thing, because “the weather allows us to accumulate resources, organize business and meet the optimal agrometeorological deadline.”
“Our task is to use the extra time as much as possible, attract internal and external assistance, and prepare optimally for field work,” Leshchenko emphasized.
