Ukraine’s accession to the European energy system was an important precondition for Ukraine’s quick victory in the war launched by Russia. This was announced by the head of NEC “Ukrenergo” Vladimir Kudrytsky .

Because, as we know, without the functioning of critical infrastructure, it is impossible to conduct military operations effectively, the normal functioning of civilian infrastructure is impossible. Without electricity infrastructure, all other types of critical infrastructure cannot work, that is, we are talking about a very basic thing – guaranteeing the energy supply of our consumers and the Armed Forces, “said Kudrytsky.
He noted that since yesterday Ukraine has received the opportunity to provide emergency support to Europe in the event that something happens and an urgent energy supply is needed.
“Before, we did not have such an opportunity,” Kudrytsky added.

On March 16, Ukraine joined the Single Energy System of Europe (ENTSO-E). This was announced on Twitter by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
Such a test was needed to further decide on the synchronization of the Ukrainian power system with the European ENTSO-E.
ENTSO-E is a European network of electricity transmission system operators, comprising 43 operators in 36 European countries.
