German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht has stated that the North Atlantic Alliance does not intend to intervene in the war in Ukraine and create a no-fly zone there.
“The consequences would be unpredictable. Therefore, we have made a clear decision not to create such a zone,” she said.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz opposed the introduction of a no-fly zone in Ukraine. Instead, he stressed the effectiveness of sanctions against Russia.
