Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida told his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine had shaken the “foundation of the international order” and demanded a clear response, he said on Saturday.

India and Japan are parties to the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (Quad), a security system that also includes the United States and Australia, but India is the only member of the Quadrial Security Dialogue (Quad) that has not condemned the invasion.
Japan has imposed sanctions on dozens of Russians and organizations since Russia invaded Ukraine and received Ukrainian refugees.
