Details
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, today 15,000 residents of the Left Bank district of Mariupol are in special danger, whom the Russian occupiers are now forcibly forcing to leave for Russian territory. The invaders confiscate people’s passports and other identity documents.
At the same time, Russia’s armed forces are firing on evacuation convoys trying to leave Mariupol for the unoccupied territory of Ukraine, diplomats say.
Russian troops continue to hold a humanitarian convoy of buses that arrived a few days ago from Mariupol from Zaporizhia.
“We call on the world leaders gathered in Brussels today for the NATO, Group of Seven and EU summits to take urgent action to save the lives of residents of Mariupol and other Ukrainian cities who have been in an inhumane siege by the Russian army. The international community must adopt new tough sanctions against Russia in order to stop its deadly military machine, as well as cut off all business ties with Russian companies in order to stop financing Russia’s war against Ukraine, “the ministry said.
