Cities: Bucha and Irpin of Kyiv region, Okhtyrka of Sumy region, Mykolayiv became hero cities. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in his Instagram .

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced that he had signed a relevant decree. The President also awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine to seven servicemen of the National Guard, five of them posthumously.
