Demand and prices for lemons on the Ukrainian market today are actively growing, according to analysts of the EastFruit project. At the moment, the undisputed leader in terms of lemon supplies in Ukraine is traditionally Turkey, which has slightly reduced the supply of citrus data, which in turn has led to another rise in prices in this segment.
Today, lemons on the Ukrainian market are offered for sale at 30-50 UAH / kg ($ 1.06-1.77 / kg), which is on average 22% more expensive than at the end of last working week. Rising prices for lemons industry experts, in the first place, attributed to the increased interest of wholesale companies and retail chains. At the same time, the purchase price of these citrus fruits on the foreign market also increased, which also contributed to the rise in price of lemon on the Ukrainian market.
It is worth noting that today lemons in Ukraine are on average 25% more expensive than in early December 2019. At the same time, industry experts attribute this price difference to the significant devaluation of the hryvnia against the dollar and the euro compared to last year.
