The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine reported that the area for sowing major crops may be reduced by 22% this year.

“As of March 23, 2022, according to the VCA, the projected sown areas of major spring crops for the 2022 harvest in the territory controlled by Ukraine are 5,990 million hectares, which is 1.689 million hectares less than last year (7,679 thousand hectares),” – it is said in the message.

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine reported that 11 regions of Ukraine have started sowing spring crops, and at the same time last year sowing in Ukraine has not yet begun.
