Ukraine, Ukraine gate- March 28, 2022- Since the beginning of the Russian invasion in Ukraine, 143 children have died and another 216 have been injured.
The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova stated this in a Telegram.
“As of 8 a.m. on March 28, 2022, according to the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations and other sources that need confirmation, 143 children have died and 216 children have been injured since the Russian invasion of Ukraine began,” the statement said.
The ombudsman also adds that it is not possible to establish the actual number of dead and wounded children due to the fact that the occupying forces are actively fighting in Ukrainian cities.
