Ukraine, Ukraine gate- March 28, 2022- The European Wrestling Championships start in Budapest (Hungary).
The awards of the continental championship in freestyle, women’s and Greco-Roman wrestling will be drawn from March 28 to April 3.
Due to the military aggression of the Russian Federation, the men’s national team of Ukraine stayed at home to defend their homeland from Russian invaders.
Ukraine will be represented by Borchini in the Hungarian capital.

weight category up to 50 kg – Natalia Klivchutska (European champion among juniors)
- 53 kg – Lilia Malanchuk (winner of the European Championship U23 and the European Championship among juniors)
- 55 kg – Alexandra Khomenets (bronze medalist of the 2021 World Championship, European champion among juniors)
- 57 kg – Alina Grushina (world and European champion U23, multiple winner of the European Championship, two-time European champion among juniors)
- 59 kg – Solomiya Vynnyk (winner of the European and U23 World Championships, European Junior Champion)
- 62 kg – Ilona Prokopevnyuk (two-time European champion U23, winner of the European Championship)
- 65 kg – Tatiana Rizhko (vice-champion of Europe 2021, champion of Europe U23)
- 68 kg – Alla Belinska (European Champion 2021)
- 72 kg – Anastasia Alpeeva (U23 world champion, European junior champion)
- 76 kg – Romana Vovchak (winner of the European Junior Championships).
It will be recalled that the United World of Wrestling (UWW) has excluded Russian and Belarusian athletes, judges and sports officials from participating in international competitions and canceled international tournaments planned in Russia or Belarus.
