“We estimate that about 30% of the population has left Kharkiv today. But I want to tell you that lately we have seen Kharkivites return, return men who have taken their families and join the ranks of territorial defense, and even whole families are returning because they do not want to live elsewhere. They have lived, more or less looked and are returning to Kharkiv. These are real patriots – patriots of their city and patriots of Ukraine, “the mayor said.

The mayor spoke about the situation with public utilities in the city.
“We supply water, supply heat, even hot water to more than a thousand houses. But the situation is, of course, tense. But all our utilities are working, garbage collection. We live the life that is possible today in these conditions, in under conditions of non-stop bombing, under conditions of war, “Terekhov said.
He confirmed that there are constant problems with the power supply, due to the fact that “the Russian army is purposefully bombing our transformer substations” and they have to constantly repair or reconnect.
