If the bill №3656 is adopted, the amount of VAT refund for a number of agar products will be reduced by 6% to 14%. This was announced in an interview with the People’s Deputy of Ukraine, member of the parliamentary group “Party for the Future”, Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy Ivan Tchaikovsky.
“How much grain does Ukraine produce? About 70 million tons (plus or minus). We sell 40-50 million tons of them. That is, the state reimburses 20% of VAT from this amount. If the law is passed, the amount of compensation will be reduced by 6% to 14%. Is it beneficial to the state? Of course, it is profitable. The state will not lose here. The agricultural sector will not lose either, as these 6% will be in the form of working capital of the agricultural producer. This is state aid for certain groups of agricultural goods – it is a way to accumulate funds for the development of such industries, “said Ivan Tchaikovsky.
He is convinced that this will benefit all farmers who work in the market honestly, openly, “in white” and pay taxes honestly.
Those who do not pay taxes today, work with cash of unknown origin, are engaged in various scrolls, etc., of course, it is not profitable. Because they will have to move to transparent rules, they will pay on time what belongs to the state. I believe that this is such a rather progressive bill that will give a serious enough impetus to the development of the agricultural sector as a whole. The bill benefits absolutely all farmers and farmers: small, large, medium and agricultural holdings. But I emphasize this once again to those who officially work today and pay their taxes on time,” he said.
