Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, 148 children have been killed and 232 injured, the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova told Telegram on Thursday, March 31 .

“As of 8 a.m. on March 31, 2022, according to the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations, as well as other sources that need confirmation, 148 children have died and 232 children have been injured since the Russian Federation invaded Ukraine,” the ombudsman said.
The actual number of dead and wounded children, she said, cannot be determined due to the fact that the occupying forces are actively fighting in Ukrainian cities.
