“The latest package of sanctions against Russia will not be the last,” Gabeka was quoted as saying by ntv.
Habeck told a joint news conference that he had discussed this with his French counterpart, French Finance Minister Bruno Le Mer.
However, as noted, the Vice Chancellor did not say a word about specific sanctions or when they will be imposed, citing pending votes at the European level.
According to Gabek, it is a matter of using sanctions to prevent Russian President Vladimir Putin from continuing “this barbaric war” in Ukraine.
