According to the deputy head of Ukravtodor, due to the Russian invasion in Ukraine, 23,000 kilometers of public roads were destroyed, with a total of 170,000 kilometers. In addition, 273 man-made structures were destroyed, such as bridges, overpasses, etc.
The total amount of losses reaches hundreds of billions of hryvnias.
“The total amount we have already calculated is 874 billion hryvnias. That is, there is already such a sum for the restoration of those artificial structures, those roads that were destroyed in this war. Roads – 835 billion. And bridges for 39 billion hryvnias.” , – Ivko pointed out.
The official also noted that mines are currently under threat. For example, it is worth waiting and not returning to Irpin and Bucha, as the military will clear the roads.
Ukravtodor also notes a significant increase in the load on Ukrainian roads in connection with the evacuation of citizens.
