“In recent weeks, you may have noticed that the European Union is still trying to adopt a fifth package of sanctions. I know it will. But I would like to send a clear signal, I am doing it through official channels, but I want to do it. The fifth package in its current form is an insufficient response to Russia’s crime and Russian aggression, I know it is in the package now, and if we see that the package will be adopted as it is now, we will have to to speak publicly and give an objective, unbiased assessment of the inconsistency of the reaction to the situation on the ground, “the minister said.

Therefore, according to him, EU sanctions should be strengthened.
The minister stressed that the fifth package of sanctions should include more Russian banks disconnected from SWIFT, measures to impose an embargo on Russian oil, gas and coal, and the closure of EU ports for Russian ships and goods.
