Ukraine Gate- Kyiv – April 5, 2022-The enemy is regrouping its forces and concentrating its efforts on preparing for the offensive operation in eastern Ukraine aimed at imposing complete control over the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
The withdrawn units from the Kyiv and Chernihiv provinces are transferred to new areas of operation. The withdrawal of the Russian forces of the Central Military District from Ukrainian territory has been completed, from which combat units were formed, which will be transferred after the restoration of combat capability to the border with Ukraine and included in the ranks of the enemy offensive forces.
The movement of convoys of heavy military equipment and weapons on the territory of the Republic of Belarus towards railway stations for loading onto freight wagons was observed, a large number of aircraft and helicopters of the Russian Air Force were transported from airports in the Republic of Belarus to Russian territory.
The enemy focused its efforts on preparing for the resumption of the offensive and trying to encircle the groups of the joint Ukrainian forces by transferring units from the Sixth Army, the Twenty-sixth Army, the First Tank Army, the Baltic Fleet and the Northern Fleet to the areas of combat operations where the occupiers resupply their forces with food, fuel and Lubricants and ammunition.
The Russian occupiers continue to besiege the city of Kharkiv, carry out artillery bombardments and destroy residential neighborhoods and the city’s infrastructure.
The enemy is trying to resume the offensive in the direction of the city of Sloviansk in the north of Donetsk province, where it advanced for a distance of 7 km and imposed its control over one of the towns.
The enemy is repairing the bridge in the city of “Izyum” in order to speed up the movement of its forces in the direction of Kharkiv and cross the river Seversky Donets.
In the directions of Donetsk and Luhansk, the occupiers are concentrating their efforts on controlling the strategic towns of “Pobasna” and Roybezhny and imposing full control over the city of Mariupol, where the enemy continued its artillery bombardment of the positions of the Ukrainian armed forces of this city and its infrastructure.
Russian forces launched attacks on the city of Mykolaiv with cluster munitions prohibited under the Geneva Convention, where residential neighborhoods and medical facilities in this city, including the Children’s Hospital, were exposed to fire by the Russian invaders, which led to the deaths and injuries of civilians, including children.
The occupation forces are still incurring heavy losses, they have difficulty mobilizing combat units and logistical units and a decrease in morale, which led to an increase in the number of desertions from military service and the refusal of Russian soldiers to participate in the war on the territory of Ukraine.
