The Verkhovna Rada registered a bill №7256 on confiscation of property in case of committing certain crimes against the foundations of national security of Ukraine in local budgets,

The authors were a team of people’s deputies, in particular, from the “Servants of the People”.
According to the initiators of the bill, it is proposed to establish that property (including funds from the sale of such property) confiscated according to executive documents issued by a court decision on the basis of articles is subject to crediting to local government budgets:
- 111 (treason) of the Criminal Code,
- 111-1 (collaboration activities) of the Criminal Code,
- 111-2 (assistance to the aggressor state) of the Criminal Code.
The authors say that the bill aims to improve the procedure for such a penalty, in case the court imposes it as an additional punishment. Including in order to finance the reconstruction of destroyed or damaged infrastructure
and / or housing. The procedure for crediting local budgets should be determined by the Cabinet of Ministers.
The Verkhovna Rada also submitted another bill on the same topic – №7257 on amendments to the Budget Code of Ukraine.
