The Government included in the resolution of December 29, 2021 № 1448 “On approval of the Procedure for the use of personal hunting weapons and ammunition by members of volunteer formations of territorial communities in the performance of territorial defense tasks” (Official Gazette of Ukraine, 2022, № 10, p. 516 ) changes.
Previously, members of volunteer terrorist defense groups had the right to use only personal hunting weapons. Now they are allowed small arms and other weapons.
Yes, according to the document:
- small arms – firearms, pneumatic barrels for firing bullets or other types of ammunition;
- other weapons – artillery, missile systems (complexes), guided (unguided) missiles and their components, complexes (installations) for their launch and their components, weapons control (fire), missile remote control systems, equipment for transportation and maintenance of missiles, grenade launchers, flamethrowers, mines, grenades ”.
Addition
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi signed a law amending the Law of Ukraine “On the Status of War Veterans, Guarantees of Their Social Protection”, which recognizes volunteers of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as war veterans.
