On April 5, the EU announced a fifth package of sanctions against Russia in response to its war against Ukraine, including an embargo on Russian coal imports and new sanctions on one of Russia’s largest banks, VTB. However, restrictive measures on, in particular, oil imports are still being worked on, said European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
