“We have already reduced the total cost of salaries in the public sector, except for the public sector (meaning civil servants, not teachers, not doctors), by 10%,” said Shmygal.

According to the head of government, these are the spheres of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Office of the President, and the Verkhovna Rada.
“We have reduced it by 10%, and we will continue this trend, if necessary,” he said.
At the same time, Shmygal noted that “everything that can be reduced, we reduce”, and redirected to the defense.
The Prime Minister also noted that “we did not print money.” And that there are military bonds, and thanks to this mechanism, 40 billion have already been raised.

Shmygal stated that due to the war Ukraine loses from 35% to 50% of GDP, daily budget losses reach about 2 billion hryvnias.
