In order to stop the outflow of Ukrainian citizens who are able and obliged to defend their state, it is proposed to establish criminal liability for illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine under martial law, “- said in an explanatory note to the law.
Details
According to the draft law, a man of conscription age who crosses the state border of Ukraine during martial law will be fined from 5,000 to 10,000 non-taxable minimum incomes or imprisoned for 3 to 5 years.
The same actions committed by servicemen and conscripts, reservists who are subject to conscription during mobilization, as well as persons authorized to perform the functions of state or local self-government – shall be punishable by imprisonment for a term of five to ten years. deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years.
Acts provided for in parts one or two, committed repeatedly or by a group of persons or an official using official position, – shall be punishable by imprisonment for a term of eight to twelve years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years .
