 Tens of thousands of people died in Tens of thousands of people died during the war in Mariupol – Zelensky, which was blocked by the occupiers during the full-scale Russian invasion. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during a speech before the Parliament of South Korea  .

“Mariupol is destroyed. There are tens of thousands killed, but even so, the Russians do not stop the offensive. They want to make Mariupol a showy city, ”Zelensky said.

The head of state stressed that the situation in the city is getting worse every day. The city has been blocked by Russian troops since March 1.

Addition

Mariupol City Council reported that the occupiers set up a collection point for the bodies of killed people on the outskirts of the city. Hundreds of corpses are removed every day.

According to British intelligence , since Russia used phosphate munitions in eastern Ukraine, it may do so again – in the battles for Mariupol.
