According to the report, the new restrictive measures also apply to family members of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, namely his wife Maria Lavrova and daughter Katerina Vynokurova.

Japan has consistently expanded its sanctions against Russia since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, including a ban on Russian imports such as coal and vodka, cuts in new investment in Russia and a freeze on assets owned by large banks.
