The press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine has published a revised version of the bill on the regulation of the transportation of passengers by taxi and passenger cars to order, for discussion.
According to the updated version, the bill provides for the creation of a unified register of road carriers and the inclusion of all taxi drivers and / or cars to order in it.
In order to be eligible to provide taxi services, drivers will need to obtain a patent. The document will be valid for one month or one year.
The cost of a patent for one month for cars with internal combustion engines will be 525 hryvnia, for electric cars – 263 hryvnia. A patent valid for one year will cost 6 thousand. hryvnia (one minimum wage – in January 2021 will be 6 thousand hryvnia). An annual patent for an electric car is 50% cheaper – 3 thousand. Hryvnia.
The control of carriers and taxi drivers will be carried out by means of scheduled, unscheduled and raid checks (checks on the road). The police will have the right to control the availability and duration of patents.
