Ukraine Gate- Kyiv – April 13, 2022- In his address to the Estonian parliament, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on Estonia to contribute to the imposition of tougher sanctions on the Russian Federation, which would include a complete blockade of all Russian banks and a ban on energy imports from Russia.
“When imposing a new package of sanctions against the Russian Federation at the EU level, I call on you to defend the need to completely ban all Russian banks, and I invite you to include oil in the sanctions package once and for all,” Zelensky said.
According to him, the imposition of sanctions is very necessary because this is the only tool that can force the Russian Federation to peace.
The president also demanded to find ways to put pressure on Russia that can stop the evictions and return all the evacuees to their homes, and the European Union has the authority to ensure this, and it must harness this force until Russia returns the forcibly deported Ukrainians, and the thousands of kidnapped children, as it must Not receive any money from European countries or companies. The EU should not become involved in the deportation process, and said the EU had no right to support wars.
President Zelensky also thanked Estonia for its continuous support to his country.
