Ukraine Gate- Kyiv – April 19, 2022- The Ukrainian passport in the international rating of the passport index rose one step to 34th place out of 112.
Thus, the Ukrainian passport allows its holders to travel to 143 countries without a visa or with a visa on arrival.
It should be noted that Japan and Singapore ranked first out of 192 countries, and Germany and South Korea ranked second, with its citizens able to visit 190 countries without a visa or with a visa on arrival.
Finland, Italy, Luxembourg and Spain (189 countries) ranked the top three.
In 112th place, and last, is Afghanistan (26 countries).
The Ukrainian foreign passport also remained in the 35th place out of 111 in the international classification of the passport index in January 2022.
The Passport Index analyzes the visa rules for 227 countries on a quarterly basis, ranks them by the number of visa-free countries, and the country’s position in the ranking is determined by the number of countries whose citizens can enter without a visa or with a visa on arrival, and the passports of all countries considered are biometric.
