Ukraine Gate- Kyiv – April 23, 2022- Analytical Center for International Employment, citing data from Poland’s Ministry of Family and Social Policy, reported that 77,000 Ukrainian refugees have started work in Poland under a special law that gives Ukrainian refugees simplified access to the labor market.
As 47.5% of them perform simple physical work, 14.1% are employed in industrial enterprises, 10.3% are employed in the service and trade sector, 8.5% are office workers and 4% are specialized.
This result was evaluated by the ministry as good, given that the majority of refugees from Ukraine are children, some of them have returned home, another part is working remotely from Poland, and the largest number of employees is located in the industrial districts: Mazowiecki with the center in Warsaw , Lower Silesia with the center in Wroclaw, Lesser Poland with the center in Krakow and Pomorsky with the center in Gdask.
