Ukraine Gate- Kyiv – April 24, 2022- Bulgarian Prime Minister Kirill Petkov stated that Ukraine’s place is in the European Union, and that his government condemns Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.
Petkov expressed his gratitude to the countries that sent military aid to Ukraine.
He stressed that his country condemned the Russian invasion of Ukraine, voted in favor of European Union sanctions against Russia, and received more than 90,000 Ukrainian refugees, but there is no consensus in the four-party ruling coalition about sending weapons and ammunition to Kyiv, and the Bulgarian parliament is expected to discuss ways to provide More support for Ukraine next week.
After Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba visited Bulgaria, he said that refusing to deliver military aid to Ukraine helps create opportunities for Russia to kill Ukrainians.
