“This week, Ukraine repulsed numerous Russian attacks along the line of contact in the Donbas. Despite the fact that Russia has achieved some territorial gains, Ukraine’s resistance has been strong in all directions and has caused significant losses to Russian forces,” the statement said.
As noted, the low morale of the Russians and the limited time to restore, rearm and reorganize forces after previous offensives are likely to reduce Russia’s combat effectiveness.
