Ukraine Gate- Kyiv – April 24, 2022- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during which he stressed the need to immediately evacuate civilians from Mariupol.
According to him, the course of the negotiation process and the coordination of security guarantees for Ukraine with Turkey and other countries were discussed.
The President noted that during the conversation, issues related to Ukraine’s defense capabilities, as well as global food security that was under threat due to the shipping embargo in the Black Sea were also discussed.
Also, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres visited Turkey on April 25 before his visits to Russia and Ukraine.
