According to the Turkish Presidential Administration’s relations department, Erdogan told Putin that “maintaining a positive mood for peace between Russia and Ukraine, which is aimed at the talks in Istanbul, is in the interests of all parties.”
The Turkish leader stressed the importance of a ceasefire, the effectiveness of humanitarian corridors and the safe evacuation from combat zones, journalists said.
Erdogan also said that “processes that could harm the interests of all parties must be stopped.”
The President of Turkey assured of Ankara’s readiness to continue to make every possible contribution to ensuring long-term peace between Russia and Ukraine.
