 United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is convinced that the war in Ukraine will continue until Russia decides to end it. This was reported by CNN .

“The war will not end with meetings. It will end when the Russian Federation decides to end it and when there is a possibility of a serious political agreement after the ceasefire. We can hold all meetings, but this is not the end of the war,” he said .

During a personal conversation with Putin, Guterres discussed a “proposal for humanitarian aid and the evacuation of civilians” from the conflict zones, namely the city of Mariupol.

Antonio Guterres said an “independent investigation” into the civilians killed in Bucha was essential to ensure effective accountability.
