The Museum of Justice was opened in Ukraine on the occasion of the International Human Rights Day.
What is known about the museum?
This is an online museum, where from December 10 everyone can learn about the history of humanity’s struggle for their rights and help protect those whose rights are being violated right now.
The purpose of the Museum is to draw attention to the marathon of writing letters, which is held annually by Amnesty International. During the marathon, everyone who cares can defend the rights of men and women from different countries by signing online petitions to governments, as well as sending letters of solidarity to the heroes and heroines of the campaign.
5 halls about the struggle for rights
The Museum of Justice has five halls, each dedicated to one aspect of the struggle for human rights.
In the Artifacts of Struggle hall, you can learn about the most famous events in the history of human rights – from the adoption of the Declaration of Human Rights to the famous speech of Martin Luther King, watch archive photos and videos.
The “Icons of Justice” hall tells about five people whose names have become symbols of the struggle for human rights.
In the “Success Stories” hall, each visitor can read seven stories of people who were saved from an unjust trial and achieve change for the better.
The halls “Test for Justice” and “Mechanism of Struggle” are dedicated to this year’s heroes and heroines of the Marathon of writing letters.
