“The Federal Government is providing almost 46 million more from the Foreign Ministry’s External Disaster Fund (AKF). The humanitarian aid budget has exceeded 100 million euros for the first time this year. This is the largest payout in history. 41.96 million euros will be allocated to the campaign help “Neighbors in need”, – it is told in the message.
At least 15 million euros of the amount for Ukraine will be used for humanitarian aid to women and children, as well as at least 5 million – for organizations that help receive Ukrainian refugees in Moldova.
As noted, since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Austria has provided a number of emergency assistance, including the allocation of 17.5 million euros from the Fund for Foreign Disasters and the delivery of civilian ambulances, helmets, vests and fuel.
