Survey data show that since the beginning of the war, the European Union has shown solidarity (79%) and was united (63%) and quick (58%) in its response.
Respondents express unwavering support for Ukraine and its people. Thus, more than nine out of ten respondents (93%) approve of providing humanitarian aid to war victims, another 88% support the idea of welcoming Ukrainian refugees to the EU, and 80% of Europeans approve of providing financial support to the country.
66% of respondents agree that “Ukraine should join the EU when it is ready.” In this regard, the largest support was shown by Lithuania – 58%, the least – Hungary (15%). Also, 71% believe that Ukraine is part of the European family, and 89% sympathize with Ukrainians.

The survey was conducted by computer interview from 13 to 20 April 2022 in 27 EU member states. 26,066 citizens interviewed online.
