“The worst case scenario is if Luhansk region finds itself in the ring. The Russians want to surround Popasna. Together with foreign mercenaries, the orcs are trying to break through our defenses, they have no success. The city has nowhere to establish itself,” Gaidai wrote in the Telegram .
According to him, for more than two months Popasna and its environs have been under daily shelling and attacks. Today the settlement is completely destroyed.

According to Gaidai, about 50,000 civilians still remain in the Luhansk region. Some of them can no longer be evacuated due to active hostilities.
“About 40-50 people a day leave the city, no more. According to our estimates, there are still about 50,000 civilians in Luhansk region. However, evacuations from Severodonetsk and Lysychansk are underway,” the head of the region said.
The head of the region stressed that so far there are no surviving gas stations. Despite this, the region has diesel fuel for emergency vehicles and evacuation buses.
Gaidai also spoke earlier about the shelling in the region and where the heaviest fighting in the region is taking place.
