Ukraine Gate- Kyiv – May 7, 2022- Tedros Adan Gebris, Director-General of the World Health Organization, has arrived in Ukraine to assess the situation in the country and take appropriate action to enhance support for the civilian population affected by the Russian aggression, especially children.
The Director-General of the organization said: I will also meet the staff of the organization here, they are doing a tremendous work under very difficult circumstances.
Speaking at the Donors’ Conference to Aid Ukraine in Warsaw, Dross Gebres said the World Health Organization has sent more than 316 tons of aid to Ukraine, whose medical system has been catastrophically damaged by Russia.
