Ukraine Gate- Kyiv – May 8, 2022- President Volodymyr Zelensky announced through his personal account that he had discussed with the Prime Minister of Croatia Andrei Plenkovic the strengthening of sanctions pressure on Russia and the strategy of restoring the occupied territories in Ukraine.
“Ukraine speaks one language with Croatia, the language of values and the struggle for freedom. We discussed with Prime Minister Andrei Plenkovich strengthening the sanctions pressure on Russia and cooperation to restore normal life in the occupied areas of our country,” he said.
He added that the issues of Ukraine’s accession to the European Union and the protection of energy freedom in Europe were also discussed. “Thank you for the meaningful talks,” he said.
Prime Minister Denis Shmygal met his Croatian counterpart Andrej Plenkovic in Warsaw on May 5, thanking him for sheltering Ukrainians forced to leave their homeland due to the war and helping to clear mines.
