The US Department of Justice, as part of an investigation into the financial activities of Hunter Biden, son of Democrat Joe Biden, requested information about his work at the Ukrainian company Burisma.
In total, the agency requested documents from more than 20 organizations related to the financial affairs of Joe Biden’s son. The Ministry of Justice is studying violations of tax laws and laws on money laundering in business relations with other countries.
It is unclear whether Hunter Biden’s work in the Ukrainian company is a central part of the federal investigation or whether the prosecutor’s office is simply looking for information about all his sources of income in recent years.
