The portals of the Ministry of Defense, the Bundestag, the federal police and a number of federal police services were attacked. Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s website was also temporarily unavailable.
According to Spiegel, these were protests against the supply of weapons to Ukraine.
The Federal Information Security Administration (BSI) has said that such attacks are not very sophisticated from a technological point of view and can be easily repelled using standard technology.
