Ukraine Gate- Kyiv – May 9, 2022- The Ukrainian Ministry of the Interior announced that the government decided to simplify the procedure for training and admission of drivers during martial law, and it should be noted that the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs exchange driver’s licenses only for citizens who by law have the right to leave Ukraine and those who take part in the defense.
In addition, changes include:
- Cancellation of practical management examinations at sites, which prevents crowds of people and equipment in one place
- Reducing truck driver training time (Class C1, C) by increasing the daily working hours from 2 to 5, eliminating the theory test for persons undergoing Class B to C1, C retraining with more than 3 years of relevant driving experience
- Revocation of GSC driving schools approval of the Ministry of Interior for truck driver training programs
- Postpone until the end of the legal system of martial law – the duty of driving schools to make changes to standard programmes, which was previously scheduled in April.
