He stressed that the West will increase pressure on Russia through economic sanctions, continue to work on Russia’s international isolation, and resist misinformation. And it will also maintain unity in support of Ukraine.
Addition
Reuters wrote that the EU is considering the third version of sanctions against the oil embargo against Russia. For example, the European Commission is considering giving landlocked countries extra money to upgrade their oil infrastructure to persuade them to agree to an embargo on Russian oil.
And the Financial Times pointed out that the European Union has removed the ban on oil transportation by sea from the sixth package of sanctions against Russia.
Most EU countries support a ban on Russian oil under a new sixth package of sanctions aimed at punishing Moscow for waging war with Ukraine. However, such a decision requires unanimity, and Hungary is resisting, being the strongest critic.
