Hans Kluge, the head of the European Regional Office of the World Health Organization, has arrived in Ukraine to discuss issues related to the coronavirus pandemic in the country with the government.
Dr. Hundo Weiler met the WHO representative and head of the organization’s office in Ukraine Jarno Habicht and the chief sanitary doctor of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko at the Kluge airport.
Over the next few days, Dr. Kluge will meet with representatives of the government, the United Nations, development partners and humanitarian organizations. The director of the WHO Regional Office for Europe will also meet with health workers at the forefront of the COVID-19 pandemic and visit a laboratory center where COVID-19 testing is being conducte.
