According to the newspaper, the allies are expected to mark Russia’s behavior as a direct threat in the strategic document being prepared. It is due in June.
It is noted that strategic concepts provide NATO with opportunities to address security challenges. The document sets out the nature and main tasks of NATO.
The current strategic concept, established in 2010, defines three main objectives: collective defense, crisis management and security through cooperation.
In June 2021, NATO leaders agreed to develop a new concept.
