According to British intelligence, after exercises earlier this month, Belarus announced the deployment of special operations forces along the border with Ukraine, as well as air defense, artillery and missile forces at training grounds in the west.
The presence of Belarusian forces near the border is likely to deter Ukrainian troops from supporting operations in the Donbas.
