 Vienna believes that the EU will soon agree on the sixth package of sanctions against Russia over the invasion of Ukraine .

Speaking in Brussels on Monday, Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg said: “I am confident that we will be able to implement the sixth package of sanctions in the coming days.”

“It is clear that there is still a need for discussion, but I believe that we must strive to ensure that these discussions take place where they should be, in the Council (EU – ed.), So as not to create an image of disagreement in public. “Russia is watching us,” he added.
