Ukraine Gate- Kyiv – May 18, 2022- In light of the continuing escalating tension between Russia and Western countries, especially the European Union and the United States, as a result of the military operation it launched on Ukrainian soil last February, the Russian Foreign Ministry considered, today, Wednesday, that the European decision was stolen.
Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, in an interview with Radio “Sputnik”, said that the center for managing European decisions and statements does not exist on the territory of the European Union.
It also considered that everything that the Union officials say is mutated after that, under the direction of the United States. She noted that it is not possible, in principle, to recognize decisions that are taken, or that are prepared independently, by the European Union.
And she stressed the confusion in European positions and decisions, asking: “What is their strategy, what they want or seek… No one can understand that.”
It is also mentioned that since the launch of the Russian military operation on Ukrainian territory on February 24, Western countries, led by the United States, have lined up with Kyiv, imposing thousands of harsh sanctions on Moscow.
Where the European Union deliberately inflicted painful economic strikes on Russia, as it imposed various sanctions that affected many economic sectors, as well as politicians and the Russian rich.
Several countries in the 27-member alliance have also urged Kyiv to join both the EU and NATO, which is a red line for the Kremlin.
